Compensation:
Rate is contingent upon experience and categorized as either category 1 or 2 experience (details below).

Educational Qualifications:
  • Completion of a practical nursing program lasting at least 9 months, accompanied by a minimum of 1 year of nursing assistant experience; or a successful completion of a 2-year degree in practical nursing.

Licensure:
Must possess a current license to practice as a practical or vocational nurse.

Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing care experience in settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, nursing homes, or other regulated medical, nursing, or patient care facilities.

Position Overview:


This is an entry-level role for medical professionals who have successfully completed a practical nursing degree program and met the national examination requirements to obtain a license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The LPN will deliver both basic and specialized medical care to a diverse patient population while working under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians.



Additional Responsibilities:

The role encompasses two distinct work scenarios:
1) LPNs will provide nursing care to patients at various levels of dependency, establishing priorities and deadlines for patient care before alerting a supervisor.
2) LPNs may be assigned to critically ill patients, such as those in intensive care or coronary care units.
These assignments necessitate the ability to promptly identify and respond to critical situations, sometimes prior to notifying an RN.
