**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Education Specialist to join our team at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital. As a key member of our Care Management department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs to enhance staff competencies and improve patient care.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, with a minimum of two years of acute care experience as a Nurse or LVN. You will also have a strong background in case management, with experience in an acute care setting. Additionally, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clinical leaders and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement educational programs to meet the needs of staff in the Care Management department.
  • Evaluate staff competencies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct chart audits to ensure regulatory and quality components are completed correctly.
  • Provide leadership through educational activities to bring about changes in clinical practice.
  • Maintain accurate records of education programs and employee education files.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in nursing required; Master's in Nursing or Nursing related preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of acute care experience as a Nurse or LVN.
  • Minimum two (2) years case management experience in an acute care setting.
  • Care/Case Management certification highly preferred; candidate must obtain CCM or ACM certification within 1 year of hire.
  • Nursing educator experience highly preferred.
  • Current California Nursing license.
  • Experience with implementation of an EMR preferred.
  • Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish).
