We are seeking an experienced Autism Therapist to join our team in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Speech and Language Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing tailored therapy and interventions to students, assessing their progress, and guiding ongoing instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to meet the unique needs of students
  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
  • Collaborate with the team to enhance students' social and language skills, and to support their overall development
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices and research
  • Utilize technology, such as the Central Reach parent portal, to communicate with parents and track student progress
  • Maintain a safe and organized therapy space, and ensure a positive and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • NYS License as Speech and Language Pathologist
  • NYS TSHH or TSLD Certification
  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other developmental disabilities
  • PROMPT trained
  • Familiarity with NYS Common Core Standards and RTI
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in computer skills
