Medical Assistant Specialist

Job Summary
At Prisma Health, we are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our surgeons in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons with prepping and completing procedures in the operating room.
- Provide general surgical assistant services, including closing incisions and removing drains, tubes, and catheters.
- Assist with patient office visits and assume call when assigned.
- Perform all charting, summaries, correspondence, and required paperwork for documenting care and billing.
- Participate in physician educational programs and quality assurance initiatives.
Requirements
- Physician Assistant Program or equivalent certification.
- 1 year of appropriate clinical experience.
- NCCPA certification and South Carolina Controlled Substance license.
