The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solid Organ Transplant Pharmacy Team Lead and Residency Program Director to join our team. As a key member of our Transplant Pharmacy Team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our team of clinical pharmacists and technicians, while also overseeing the daily operations of our pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Clinical Pharmaceutical Care: Provide specialized patient-centered clinical services to the inpatient solid organ transplant population, including the development and implementation of treatment protocols to improve patient care.
- Oversee Daily Pharmacy Operations: Enhance the quality and delivery of care by overseeing daily pharmacy operations, including the verification and dispensing of medication orders.
- Lead the Transplant Pharmacy Team: Serve as the team leader, providing leadership and direction to our team of clinical pharmacists and technicians.
- Support Educational Mission: Support the educational mission of our pharmacy by training pharmacy residents, students, and pharmacy technician trainees.
- Engage in Professional Self-Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest advancements in solid organ transplant pharmacy.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: PGY1-required or 3 years of equivalent hospital experience
- Licensure: Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License
Physical Demands:
- Job requires standing and traveling for prolonged periods.
- Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills.
- Ability to lift/push/pull.
