About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Product Engineer to join our team at Esri, where you will play a key role in developing and implementing cutting-edge AI and machine learning capabilities for our ArcGIS Pro software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop AI Copilot experiences that enhance user productivity and efficiency.
  • Work with users and industry experts to identify primary use cases and workflows, and contribute to the development of training datasets and fine-tuning/training AI models.
  • Develop and implement test cases and validate bug fixes to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Contribute to the maintenance, monitoring, and growth of the automated test suite, and troubleshoot production issues in current and past software versions.
  • Research and stay up-to-date with the latest advances in AI and application development frameworks, and share knowledge with the team.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience using an application development language (Python, C#).
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, including natural language processing and generative models.
  • Experience in building training datasets and fine-tuning/training AI models (NLP or vision).
  • Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment, and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a Bachelor's degree in GIS, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with natural language processing and generative models, and experience in building AI applications using frameworks such as Semantic Kernel or LangChain.
  • Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS platform technologies, and experience with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design techniques, and a Master's degree in GIS, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
