Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans to modernize our grid infrastructure, aligning with industry trends and Company objectives.
- Analysis and Research: Conduct rigorous analysis to understand emerging trends in the electric distribution industry, including regulatory, policy, technology, and energy market developments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of the Company's strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities, and to motivate cross-functional participation in grid modernization strategic planning.
- Initiative Development and Prioritization: Manage the development and prioritization of strategic initiatives, including tracking and reporting of progress relative to near-term execution opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Lead teams of internal and external resources to ensure grid modernization strategic and operational goals are achieved efficiently and effectively.
- Communication and Advocacy: Communicate the Company's initiatives externally as appropriate and participate in industry forums to support the Company's position contributing to industry best practices.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in business or technical related discipline (MBA preferred)
- Experience: Ten or more years of successful strategic planning and other related experience required. Direct experience with electric distribution energy industry preferred.
- Skills: Proven strategic thinking ability; strong analytical skills including experience using qualitative tools in strategic development; demonstrated business development aptitude with strong presentation skills and executive presence; strong leadership skills to penetrate and work effectively throughout the organization; ability to effectively facilitate the execution of large initiatives; demonstrated competency and proficiency in oral and written communications.
Eversource Energy offers a competitive total rewards program, including an annual salary range of $140,000.00 to $156,000.00, plus incentive. Check out our career site for an overview of our benefits.
Working Conditions- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
- Travel throughout the service territory is frequently required.
- Work is performed in an office environment.
