Metrology Technician I Role

Job Summary:
Bristol-Myers Squibb is seeking a skilled Metrology Technician I to assist in calibration protocols and ensure plant and process instrumentation functions per specification and in compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in qualification activities related to instrumentation and calibration.
- Support Senior Technicians with projects.
- Provide support for vendor escort.
- Gather instruments for vendor sent outs and process certifications.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support business needs.
- Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures and fill Safe Work Permits.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma with 0-3 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Prior evidence of successful participation on work teams where combined contribution, collaboration, and results were expected.
- Demonstrated proficiency in common computer tools such as word processing, spreadsheet, and web-based applications.
- Work experience where attention to detail and personal accountability were critical to success.
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills, is attentive and approachable.
- Maintains a professional and productive relationship with area management and co-workers.
- Computer literate in Maximo or similar computer-based calibration program a plus.
- Understanding of operating principles of industrial instrumentation and control systems.
- General knowledge of P&IDs control theories and techniques and have ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot engineering drawings.
- Electrical schematics with assistance when needed.
- Knowledge of both calibration and maintenance of instrumentation on biotech manufacturing equipment.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, be able to work off from ladders and scaffolding and able to wear appropriate PPE when necessary.
- Must be able to work shift work.
