Position Overview

As a Metrology Supervisor with Bristol Myers Squibb, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our biopharm manufacturing equipment. You'll supervise and manage the calibration and maintenance of instruments, ensuring compliance with EHS guidelines, cGMP regulations, and company policies. Your expertise will be essential in identifying areas of non-compliance and taking corrective actions to resolve issues promptly.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supervising and ensuring compliance with EHS guidelines, cGMP regulations, company policies, and external agency regulations during work execution.
  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the Instrumentation and Calibration group, including technician training, deployment, work execution, work review, and approvals.
  • Managing the Metrology team, responsible for all Calibration Data Sheets and Metrology Job Plans Master Data within the system.
  • Developing and maintaining Calibration Interval management programs, including minimally invasive instrumentation tasks that support Calibration interval extension.
  • Ensuring routine calibration and instrumentation activities are performed in accordance with established guidelines and operating procedures.
  • Defining and ensuring end-user training on Metrology Data Sheets and Work Order processing within the related business system.
  • Providing support to other departments in the investigations and resolutions of Metrology-related Quality Events.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Maintenance or Operations of Biopharm Manufacturing and Manufacturing Equipment Support, with relevant experience in metrology.
  • Knowledge of maintenance, operations, and engineering, generally attained through studies resulting in a B.S. in engineering, a related discipline, or its equivalent.
  • Familiarity with basic relay ladder logic, programmable logic controllers, and distributed control systems, as well as experience with DeviceNet and Foundation Field bus instrumentation.
  • Experience with Emerson A.M.S. Software, as well as working in an environment governed by SOPs and cGMPs.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing personnel issues and planning and administering financial resources.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you'll enjoy a range of benefits, including:
