We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Care Assistant to join our team at CareConnect. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and dignity of patients.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, fostering a sense of community and connection.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or equivalent.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Satisfactory completion of a New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Able to read and write at a 5th grade level.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and valid car insurance.
