About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

The Role

The CT Technologist I is responsible for performing procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. This includes operating CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient, referring any discrepancies to the Radiologist.
  • Properly identifies patients and assists them during procedures, providing a full explanation and documenting relevant information.
  • Interviews patients to obtain medical history, reviews electronic medical records, and correlates test results and laboratory data.
  • Assumes responsibility for exams from beginning to completion, preparing and administering IV contrast as needed.
  • Evaluates image quality and consults with Radiologists if necessary, recognizing abnormal anatomy and processing additional images or measurements.
  • Performs basic patient care functions, informs nursing personnel of changes in patient condition, and initiates life support measures when necessary.
  • Operates radiology computer systems to enter orders, charge procedures, and document contrast administration.

Requirements

A graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology is required, along with ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB certification in Nuclear Medicine.

Physical Demands

This role requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies, as well as occasional standing, walking, and sitting during normal operation.
