As a Cut-to-Length Line Operator at Fortera Federal Credit Union, you will be responsible for operating a cut-to-length line machine to produce prime material for our customers. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and procedures to ensure high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
Operate the cut-to-length line machine to produce prime material
Maintain all aspects of product quality, including selection and appearance of material, dimensional tolerance, weight, piece count, etc.
Prepare inspection records and report production data
Assist with handling quality issues and communicate with other areas on changes to scheduling, processing, etc.
Report machine malfunctions to supervision and assist outside maintenance if needed with major repairs.
Requirements
High school diploma/GED preferred
Warehousing and material handling experience required
Ability to operate assigned equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes and procedures
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively required
Maintain neat and orderly conditions in work area, help maintain and promote safe conditions throughout the facility
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Basic arithmetic skills, ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all common units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions, as well as alternative solutions
Overall ability to understand the goals of the company (safety, efficiency, quality, etc.)
Must be able to effectively use company database (eStel)
Must demonstrate conflict resolution, respect, integrity, ethics, punctuality, dependability, accuracy, safety, and teamwork while maintaining company values
Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of software applications required
