Lunar Turbomachinery Bearings Engineer III

We are seeking an experienced Turbomachinery Bearings Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin, working on the development of our Lunar Lander for NASA's Artemis mission. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering effort in space exploration and contribute to the advancement of human presence on the Moon.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop advanced liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen pumps for the Lunar Lander
- Specify, design, and procure bearings for multiple cryogenic pumps
- Collaborate with NASA and National Team Partners on the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program
- Contribute to the development of the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond Earth
- B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical subject area
- 5+ years of experience in turbomachinery bearing design engineering
- Experience in turbomachinery design, material selection, and tribology
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
- Ability to work on-site with occasional travel
- M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical subject area
- Experience with cryogenic applications
- Experience in all phases of turbomachinery life cycle in flight vehicle applications
