This position is located in a rehabilitation services team within the Department of Rehabilitation. The Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor will work under the direction of the Team Manager, Staff Services Manager I, to facilitate the effective delivery of services to consumers.
Key Responsibilities- Determine vocational rehabilitation eligibility and priority for services.
- Develop and implement Individualized Plans for Employment (IPE) and amendments.
- Provide vocational counseling to individuals with disabilities and consumers of the Department of Rehabilitation.
- Coordinate the vocational rehabilitation team to identify the need for assessments and services for applicants and consumers.
- Make final determinations of eligibility, priority for services, and successful employment outcomes.
- A Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Counseling, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of one graduate course with a primary focus on Theories and Techniques in Counseling.
- Reliability, dependability, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
