Position Overview:

In this role, you will provide technical leadership for cable television operations, ensuring the highest quality of service and picture clarity. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, evaluating, and supervising technical personnel, as well as managing the schedules of both in-house staff and contracted installers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the hiring, training, evaluation, and supervision of technical staff.
  • Diagnose and ensure the repair of cable systems, making necessary adjustments and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with CLI, FCC, and OSHA performance standards across all systems.
  • Supervise new construction projects to ensure adherence to technical specifications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chief Technician with comprehensive knowledge of all CATV technical roles.
  • Advanced training in electronics, including RF testing equipment and transmission line theories, along with analytical problem-solving techniques.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical and electrical disciplines is essential.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • Ability to climb poles and navigate ladders or other structures safely.
  • Capability to lift and carry heavy loads as required.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Willingness to be on call 24/7.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent handling of heavy objects and materials, as well as the use of heavy hand tools.
