About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at a not-for-profit hospital in Round Rock, Texas. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing radiology procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients, working under the general supervision of a Radiologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality radiology procedures, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain production and quality of imaging procedures, adhering to established standards and procedures.
  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients, ensuring correct exams are performed on the correct patients and establishing rapport with patients and others.
  • Prepare patients and areas for procedures, positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into specified positions.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness standards, working with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment.
  • Report issues to management or appropriate departments and assist in maintaining supplies inventory.
  • Ensure individuals are safe to enter the department by screening them according to approved policies and procedures.
  • Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation, including requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, and shielding precautions taken.
  • Maintain medical imaging records in appropriate systems and according to department policies and standards for interpretation in a timely manner.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited program.
  • Less than 1 year of experience.
  • ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 30 days of hire or transfer.
