Key Responsibilities

Join our Clinical Engineering team as a Biomedical Imaging Equipment Technician. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that essential medical imaging equipment operates effectively and reliably, thus supporting patient care. Your expertise will be vital in performing both Preventative Maintenance (PM) and necessary repairs, allowing healthcare professionals to utilize diagnostic tools with confidence.

This position involves specialized maintenance and repair services for diagnostic imaging and laboratory equipment, including:

  • Conducting repairs and maintenance primarily on general imaging equipment such as X-Ray units, Portable X-Ray units, Fluoroscopy Systems, CR Units, and Mammography units.
  • Maintaining accurate records for all work orders processed.
  • Assisting in the procurement of parts and supplies to ensure cost-effective maintenance of medical imaging devices.
  • Providing on-call support on a rotating schedule and performing additional duties as required.
  • Repairing and maintaining medical equipment under service contracts and executing general biomedical tasks as necessary.
  • Offering insights to the Clinical Engineering Manager regarding potential new service opportunities within the operational area.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent military training, technical program completion, or validated experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in servicing technical equipment, with a preference for candidates experienced with Philips imaging equipment.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
