We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Select Specialty Hospital, a leading provider of extended hospital care. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of patient care and safety.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pharmaceutical services and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining adequate drug supplies, providing clinical support, and promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $65 and shift differentials for nights and weekends. Our hospital is located in Orlando North, and we are committed to providing an exceptional patient care experience that promotes healing and recovery in a compassionate environment.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Pharmacist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function
- Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy
- Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after discharge
- Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs
- Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring
- Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure
- Current State licensure
- BLS if required by State
- Maintenance of a current license in the state of practice
Preferred qualifications include a Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
