Clio Snacks is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to fulfill the role of Quality Assurance Supervisor. The successful candidate will possess a strong aptitude for process enhancement and documentation management. This position is pivotal in supporting the food safety and quality assurance initiatives within the organization, ensuring that all policies and procedures are effectively implemented and that a robust system for quality and reliability testing is maintained for both products and development processes.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a backup for the SQF Practitioner.
- Oversee the verification and maintenance of food safety and quality systems, including hazard analysis and sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with operational teams to initiate corrective actions and preventive measures as needed.
- Ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, customer, and facility food safety and quality standards, including the completion of necessary corrections.
- Investigate food safety incidents within the facility, ensuring proper reporting and implementation of corrective actions.
- Independently address moderately complex issues while escalating more intricate problems to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management review.
- Maintain accurate and organized records.
- Manage laboratory, office, and other QA-related supplies as required.
- Provide training on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety topics to employees.
- Mentor and guide QA Technicians.
- Conduct inspection-like audits within the facility.
- Be available to cover shifts for QA Technicians when necessary.
- Assist in the implementation or enhancement of existing food safety programs.
- Support management during FDA, SQF, and customer audits.
- Facilitate the adoption of new laboratory analysis procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field.
- Familiarity with food safety industry practices and standards.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- SQF certification is required.
- Experience in laboratory and manufacturing environments is essential.
- Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
