Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Clerk to join our team at Adams and Associates, Inc. The successful candidate will provide administrative and clinical medical services for the Wellness Department, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information and compliance with all HIPAA laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for the Wellness Department, including answering phone calls, greeting visitors and patients, scheduling appointments, processing and distributing mail, preparing reports, and maintaining medical records and related files.
  • Conduct cursory medical tasks as directed by supervisor, including measuring/monitoring vital signs, recording patient history, performing basic lab tests, collecting lab specimens, and other authorized medical tasks as requested.
  • Assist Wellness Manager to coordinate medical, mental, and dental services for students.
  • Maintain all student health records, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and properly filed.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable laws and regulations regarding patient privacy and the maintenance of medical records.
  • Perform first aid treatment, bedside patient care, and other wellness services as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment within Wellness Services.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Suites of applications required.
