Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Healthcare Services Group. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform janitorial and cleaning activities within established guidelines, assigned areas, and shift(s) to ensure quality standards, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met.
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions.
  • Report equipment/cleaning product needs and/or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, floors, and commodes.
  • Empty wastebaskets and pencil sharpeners; remove graffiti in the interior or exterior of the building when necessary.
  • Interact appropriately with facility personnel, supervisor, and the public.

Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous school custodial/janitorial experience is preferred.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to cooperate with co-workers and facility staff.
  • Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.

Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to be on your feet, mostly walking, 6-8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
