Staff Accountant

About the Role

Creative Financial Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in the financial operations of our clients, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute timely month-end accounting close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Contribute to the improvement of process workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist with customer invoicing, credit, and collections to ensure timely payments.
  • Support the weekly vendor payment process and assist with annual 1099/1042 preparation.
  • Play a key role in the annual audit process by preparing audit schedules and assisting auditors as needed.
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned to support the needs of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus, but not required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with knowledge of GAAP.
  • Familiarity with working with various foreign currencies is a big bonus.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel and database management skills preferred.
  • Attention to detail is a must to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation

The salary for this position is $50,000-$60,000.
