Position Overview: Terminal Manager

In the role of Terminal Manager, you will take charge of managing transportation operations within the organization. This position encompasses responsibilities such as coordinating transit vehicles, supervising terminal staff, and ensuring the efficient operation of the transportation network.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the customs brokerage sector.
  • Possession of a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) certification in good standing.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent qualifications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Customs Tariff, Explanatory Notes, General Rules of Interpretation, regulations, and release processes within the transportation field.
  • Knowledge of Trade Agreements.
  • Experience across various transportation modes, with a preference for expertise in ocean freight.
  • Experience in exporting is advantageous.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of the brokerage cycle, from shipment creation to client billing.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all shipment documentation.
  • Manage product databases, ensuring proper tariff classification and details.
  • Provide support to customers and staff, including liaising with government agencies.
  • Follow up on dated entries and assist with the setup of new accounts.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-driven with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills.
