Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team in support of the VA San Diego Healthcare System. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting cardiologists during cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist cardiologists during cardiovascular procedures, including diagnostic tests and support duties
  • Operate radiologic fluoroscopy equipment to visualize images during procedures
  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, and intravascular ultrasound
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize abnormal and life-threatening rhythms
  • Perform patient care procedures, including applying dressings and collecting specimens
  • Prepare catheters, guide wires, transducers, angioplasty balloons, stents, and manifold assembly
  • Operate the angiographic pressure injector to control pressure development and minimize ventricular irritability
  • Function in the nonsterile role (circulator) by preparing the vascular access site, positioning the patient, and operating radiologic equipment
  • Recognize normal anatomy and functional anatomy in diseased conditions and have knowledge of coronary arteries and cardiac chamber anomalies
  • Provide for the psychosocial needs of patients and their families, including explaining procedures to reduce anxieties and gain cooperation
Qualifications:
  • US Citizen
  • Minimum Education - Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program (CVT) or Certified Radiologic Technologist Program (CRT)
  • Minimum Experience - 3 years hospital experience (excluding training)
  • Required Certification - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS); or Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT); or Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  • State Licensure - CRT Board of Health California or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) for Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • ACLS preferred
