Job SummaryWe are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As an LPN, you will provide direct nursing care to assigned residents and perform other services necessary for their personal and comfort needs. You will work under the supervision of professional and skilled nurses, and will be responsible for administering and recording medications and treatments, preparing for and assisting with diagnostic procedures and treatments, and reinforcing and supporting health care instructions to patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Deliver nursing care in structured and routine situations.
- Administer and record medications and treatments as assigned.
- Prepare for and assist nurses and others with diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Reinforce, support, and provide health care instructions to patients and their families.
- Participate with other team members in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities.
- Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
- Observe and report patients' vital signs, symptoms, and general condition to the appropriate individuals.
- Record on patient charts observations of patients' responses to nursing care rendered.
- Maintain environmental conditions conducive to the comfort and safety of patients.
- Assist with unit management and/or assume charge of unit as assigned.
- Perform other nursing functions related to patient care and nursing service, as delegated by the Nursing Service Administration.
- Guide and direct other technicians and nurse's aides in rendering patient care.
- Maintain clinical competence through participation and attendance at continuing education programs.
