About the Role

This position is part of our Bean 5/IMC/AVU team, a high-paced 34-bed medical intermediate care unit. Patient population is vast and includes specialties of acute on chronic states, respiratory failure, complex vascular, general surgical and neuroscience conditions, sepsis and multisystem organ failure. Constant assessment, coordination and interventions are essential. Within the Assisted Ventilation Unit (AVU) patients may require mechanical ventilation in chronic or weaning states; vasoactive medications and frequent assessments and interventions are required.

We are seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant II to join our team. The successful candidate will have one year of relevant experience and demonstrate competency in all essential functions of a Certified Nursing Assistant I role.

Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurses and according to defined policies and procedures, performs various service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living. Specific duties may vary by area of assignment. Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
* License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
* Experience: One year of relevant experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Certified Nursing Assistant I role.
