Overview of Responsibilities:
The Medical Director of Primary Care will oversee the operations of our Ambulatory Care Team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional medical services to our patients.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and manage the daily functions of Ambulatory Care, including both emergency and routine medical procedures. Collaborate with clinical and support staff to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Provider Coordination: Organize and communicate provider availability and coverage for non-administrative hours to ensure continuous patient care.
- Educational Oversight: Partner with the Designated Education Officer and Internal Medicine Residency Program to maintain high standards in teaching programs and ensure effective supervision of residents and students.
- Policy Development: Utilize national guidelines to formulate policies and procedures that enhance service delivery, ensuring these are effectively communicated to all healthcare providers within Ambulatory Care.
- Resource Management: Collaborate with relevant committees to optimize the use of resources, including staffing, supplies, and facility space.
- Staff Orientation: Provide comprehensive orientation for new staff members regarding Ambulatory Care policies and their specific roles to promote a cohesive work environment.
- Quality Assurance: Work alongside the Chief/Assistant Chief of Ambulatory Care to uphold high standards of patient care, driving quality improvement initiatives and utilization reviews.
- Continuing Education: Ensure proper medical record documentation, facilitate staff training programs, and encourage ongoing professional development for all team members.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM
