Job Description

At Office Depot, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and leading a team of sales associates to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Print Sales and Services:
    • Support efficient operation of the Print Services area and drive overall store sales.
    • Operate and assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain efficient production and ensure client orders are completed correctly and on-time.
    • Effectively utilize communication tools to request assistance within the Print Services area and to coordinate the appropriate service for all customers throughout the store.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards.
    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies. In partnership with all associates, ensure regular loss prevention compliance.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; and supports the company's loss prevention efforts. Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Drive positive client satisfaction levels, including coaching and training to associates to enhance the customer experience.
    • Support community outreach initiatives to drive client/customer retention.
    • Work to continually develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided to deliver the total solution.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty:
    • Ensure the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of the management team.
    • In partnership with all associates, ensure regular loss prevention compliance.
    • Performing opening or closing responsibilities.
    • This includes driving awareness of key performance indicators, providing guidance to improve results, activation/deactivation of the store's alarm system, and processes for opening or closing the store.
    • May assist in review of cash handling, cashier, and merchandise error logs, register voids, tax exemption and all related cash office audits.
    • Other duties as deemed necessary
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in related field
  • Sales and/or Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job.
  • Skilled in Customer Service and Print Services experience would be desired.
  • Must possess advanced selling skills
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, which are necessary to establish a selling relationship with customers.
  • Must be adaptable to a changing environment.
  • Must be able to assist others in a professional environment.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to use technology applicable to role, and to access information necessary to complete daily responsibilities.
  • Must possess ability to process information/merchandise through POS register system.
  • Pays close attention to detail to ensure high quality production in the Print Services area

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule:
Compensation Range = Minimum: $14.42 to Maximum: $19.50
