Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Parker Hannifin Corporation. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling cylinder products in accordance with order requirements and print specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily tasks to produce hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder products, including assembling, testing, detailing, loading/unloading equipment, gathering materials/components, and positioning work area.
  • Utilize various hand tools, specialty tools, and basic measuring equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Perform visual inspection of parts and review basic blueprints/diagrams to ensure components are being manufactured in accordance with the part specification.
  • Review work orders for special instructions and complete various types of paperwork related to production reporting.
  • Maintain work areas by cleaning and organizing the space and equipment.
  • Actively participate in company-sponsored training programs.
  • Deal ethically with Parker's customers, suppliers, fellow associates, and the general public.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 2 years of previous machining experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Basic understanding of gauging/measuring devices required.
  • Basic blueprint understanding required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to complete tasks that may be repetitive.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
Work Environment

This position may be exposed to oils, dirt, fumes, and moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
