In the role of Satellite Systems Engineer Staff, you will engage in mission-specific operations throughout various phases, including readiness, execution, and evaluation.

Your responsibilities will include crafting comprehensive plans and procedures aimed at optimizing mission support in areas such as orbital dynamics and performance assessment. You will also provide technical guidance for mission support, strategize critical activities, and explore alternative operational methodologies.

Collaborating with diverse teams across multiple locations, you will play a key role in implementing various initiatives, including resiliency testing and operational development.


During the initial training phase, the selected candidate will familiarize themselves with the system while simultaneously assisting in tool creation, data analysis, and system maintenance.

This position necessitates the successful completion of a formal training program and certification for duty execution.

Key Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with spacecraft operations
  • Experience in supporting critical mission operations

Proficiency in any of the following Engineering disciplines:
o System integration
o Planning
o Software testing
o System modeling or analysis

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of astrodynamics and orbital mechanics, including classical orbital elements
  • Familiarity with satellite maneuvering tools and techniques
  • Experience with STK or similar orbital analysis software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of matrix mathematics, vector analysis, and physics principles
  • Knowledge of feedback control systems and classical mechanics
  • Basic coding skills in one or more programming languages
  • Experience with MATLAB, SQL, HTML, Python, UNIX/Linux
  • Ability to establish strong customer relationships
  • Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal abilities, with a capacity to collaborate across different sites
Security Clearance Requirement: This role requires a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.

Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
