POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is essential for managing the flow of packages within the center's parcel operations. The individual will oversee the receipt, processing, staging, and delivery of all packages, utilizing an electronic tracking system with minimal oversight. Regular interaction with various levels of staff and clients is expected. Proficiency in multiple computer systems and the ability to meet the physical demands of the job are crucial.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate all shipping-related services and activities.
  • Maintain a detailed log of incoming and outgoing packages, prepare items for collection by delivery personnel, and sort incoming shipments.
  • Utilize proprietary software and equipment to perform job functions efficiently.
  • Deliver packages within the facility as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating needs, offering alternatives, and resolving issues independently.
  • Prepare items for shipping, including packaging, weighing, and labeling.
  • Handle large packages using appropriate equipment.
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols for equipment and packages.
  • Inform customers about shipping options, company services, and pricing.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and assist customers in selecting suitable shipping methods.
  • Prioritize customer requests effectively.
  • Utilize sound judgment to address service issues or process refunds.
  • Investigate mislabeling of packages.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
  • May lead shifts and guide other team members.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Follow supervisor instructions and assist colleagues in operational tasks.
  • Organize and collate customer communications and information.
  • Support the training of new team members.
  • Operate the point of sale terminal, ensuring accurate fee collection.
  • Complete daily closing procedures for the point of sale.
  • Assist in team goal setting and skill enhancement.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including supply ordering and inventory management.
  • May operate office equipment as needed.
  • Process customer orders and provide pricing information.
  • Follow copyright and confidentiality protocols.
  • Prepare bank deposit documentation.
  • Carry out additional duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • At least six months of relevant experience preferred (Warehouse or Hospitality).
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Proactive and customer-focused mindset.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build effective team relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Accurate data entry skills into electronic systems.
  • Proficient with computer systems and quick to learn new software.
  • Ability to pass required safety certifications.
  • Capable of lifting 75 pounds unassisted.
  • Physical ability to manage packages over 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Stamina to walk up to 10 miles during a shift.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift, excluding breaks.
  • Consistent ability to lift and move 75 pounds.
  • Regular bending and twisting at the waist and knees.
  • Effective communication with customers and team members.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Perform all duties consistently and efficiently.
