Job Summary

As a CT Technologist at Steward Health Care, you will play a vital role in producing high-quality images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computerized tomography (CT) scanners. Your expertise will be essential in accurately interpreting physician instructions, administering contrast materials, and operating the CT scan equipment to capture the necessary images. You will effectively interact with patients, hospital employees, and other healthcare professionals while maintaining established professional standards. Responsibilities

• Utilize CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Accurately interpret physician instructions and administer contrast materials as needed
• Operate CT scan equipment to capture the necessary images
• Position patients to ensure optimal image quality
• Effectively interact with patients, hospital employees, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain established professional standards and adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Requirements

• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology
• Two years of experience as a radiology technologist
• Previous experience in CT scanning is preferred
• ARRT certification and a Louisiana license are required
• Advanced certification in CT is preferred
• BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire
