We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and sort pharmaceuticals and supplies from multiple vendors
- Stock Central Pharmacy inventory zones and deliver stock to carousels
- Fulfill special orders and coordinate delivery
- Process wholesaler returns and maintain inventory levels
- Train new item barcodes into systems and maintain inventory accuracy
- Alert Supply Chain team of any issues or discrepancies with receipts or pricing
- Organize extra supply of medications and re-stock as needed
- Perform receipts and charges in EPIC inventory and maintain cleanliness of receiving area
- Credentialed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required
- Valid Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy registration required
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
- 1-2 years operations experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred; 1-2 years experience in supply chain strongly preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time
