POSITION SUMMARY

The Worship Director is accountable for overseeing all elements of worship for the Spanish congregation at First Baptist Church of Naples, collaborating closely with the Worship Pastor.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Aligns with the overarching mission and objectives of First Baptist Church.
  • Supports the Worship Pastor in striving for excellence across all ministry facets.
  • Personal Responsibilities include:
    • Fostering a deep and evolving relationship with God through dedicated Bible study, prayer, and reflection.
    • Guiding oneself and one’s family towards principles of Integrity, Respect, Humility, Passion, Spirituality, and Well-being (Emotional, Spiritual, Financial, and Physical).
    • Maintaining appropriate family priorities, including those related to spouse and children (if applicable).
    • Actively supporting the ministries of First Baptist Church through responsible stewardship of entrusted resources.
    • Engaging in an adult group for spiritual growth.
    • Performing duties in a manner that honors Christ and advances the mission and ministry goals of First Baptist Church.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Plan and lead all worship services for the Spanish congregation in collaboration with both the Worship Pastor and the Spanish Pastor.
    • Curate all musical selections.
    • Guide the congregation in weekly singing.
    • Coordinate musicians and vocalists for each service.
    • Conduct weekly rehearsals with all worship ministries.
    • Identify and mentor new musicians and vocalists in partnership with the Worship Ministry.
  • Collaborate with the Spanish Pastor to organize special events.
  • Assist the Worship Pastor by providing musicians and vocalists for special multilingual worship services as needed.

SUPERVISORY ROLE

  • Directly supervise and mentor all volunteers involved in music ministry.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with five years of relevant ministry experience. Proficiency in at least one musical instrument and a strong singing ability are essential, as well as the capability to lead both a worship team and a congregation.


LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

Fluency in both spoken and written Spanish is required, with effective communication skills in English. The individual must possess excellent interpersonal abilities, work well with diverse groups, and communicate clearly and effectively in various formats.


TECHNICAL SKILLS

Proficiency in using PC systems for tasks such as word processing and spreadsheets, along with the ability to utilize the Internet for information retrieval. Familiarity with Planning Center Online (PCO) and ProPresenter is also necessary.


REASONING ABILITY

The ability to conceptualize and manage multiple tasks and project outcomes simultaneously, applying creative and innovative thinking to problem-solving situations is essential. Effectiveness under pressure to meet deadlines is crucial.
