Job Title: Clerk Personnel Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clerk Personnel Services to join our team at Jefferson County Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and specialized HR clerical support, including performing advanced clerical work, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility for technical and specialized HR clerical duties, including performing advanced clerical work, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Provide support to the HR department, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and providing general administrative assistance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including personnel files, benefits information, and other HR-related documents.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including those related to employment, benefits, and personnel management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR department.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. and working knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic.
  • Two (2) years successful experience in clerical functions in human resources.
  • Type/transcription skills, ability to operate office equipment accurately and efficiently.
  • Successful experience with computer software, word processing, and file management functions.
  • Effective communication skills.
