Job Summary

Glen Oaks Community College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodial Assistant to join our facilities team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of custodial tasks, including cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
  • Operate powered cleaning machines, such as floor buffers and vacuum cleaners.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed.
  • Assist with special events and projects as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in custodial or facilities maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
