**Job Summary:** As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will play a vital role in supporting our occupational therapy team at TLC NURSING SERVICES. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional who can work collaboratively with our OTs to develop and implement effective therapy plans for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and guide patients through therapy plans developed by the OT, using exercises, stretches, and activities to improve mobility, strength, and coordination.
  • Teach patients and their families or caregivers about exercises and techniques to facilitate recovery and enhance independence in daily activities.
  • Observe and document patient progress and response to treatments, noting any challenges or achievements and reporting back to the OT for plan adjustments.
  • Help patients adapt to equipment or techniques that support daily living, such as mobility aids, adaptive utensils, or home modifications.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in good standing.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • High level of patience, empathy, and attention to detail.
