Recreation Therapist II

Job Summary:

Prime Healthcare is seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist II to join our team at Encino Hospital Medical Center. As a Recreation Therapist II, you will be responsible for conducting a therapeutic recreation program within the hospital to facilitate the rehabilitation of physically and mentally disabled patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducts a therapeutic recreation program to facilitate rehabilitation of patients.

Directs patient participation in selected activities such as games, social activities, sports, or music to create an atmosphere of sociability and provide a means of creative expression.

Creates an environment that allows patients to explore their own potential, cultivate positive morale, and minimize distress of illness.

Requirements:

Board Certified in Recreation Therapy or Art Therapist or Expressive Arts Therapy or related field.

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Recreation Therapy or Art Therapist or Expressive Arts Therapy or related field.

Minimum one (1) year experience in Behavioral Healthcare, rehabilitative, or SNF setting preferred.
