Job Summary

This position will be responsible for overseeing the Comcast Corporation enterprise-wide consolidation process and activities supporting the preparation of SEC filings. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direct supervision to a consolidations team of 3-4 staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the team responsible for consolidated activities related to the Comcast Corporation monthly and quarterly close and consolidation process
  • Partner with financial systems and divisional close and consolidations teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Oversee the global intercompany elimination process to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Supervise the preparation and analysis of cash flows for consolidated reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Review consolidated rollforwards to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Manage and review changes to the chart of accounts in OneStream to ensure data integrity
  • Review the team's activities supporting SEC filings (Form 10-Q and Form 10-K and 8-K Earnings Release and Form 1120) for Comcast Corporation, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Enhance the team's supporting work papers for disclosures in SEC filings, ensuring transparency and compliance
  • Oversee requests for internal and external auditors, developing strong partnerships with internal corporate, divisional stakeholders, and external auditors
  • Manage the preparation of support schedules related to compliance with trust indentures and debt covenants, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Oversee the integrity of controls over the consolidations process through checklists and other methods to ensure compliance with regulations resulting from SOX
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance, ensuring the highest level of professionalism and integrity
  • Identify process improvements to consolidation and reporting processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent; CPA a plus
  • Generally requires 10+ years related experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks
  • Experience with systems and emerging technologies such as OneStream, Workiva Wdesk, Oracle, SAP, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
