About the Role

The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting and Consolidations, will play a critical role in the finance organization, working under the direct supervision of the Director, Corporate Accounting and External Reporting.

This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in corporate accounting and consolidations, who can drive process improvements and provide expert guidance to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the monthly close process, ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines and are in accordance with the company's defined closing calendar.
  • Assist in reviewing journal entries, certifying supporting workpapers, and ensuring documentation is adequate.
  • Provide oversight of the global consolidation close, confirming all consolidating balances net to zero, including Investment in Consolidated Subs and Intercompany accounts.
  • Administer Blackline, the company's balance sheet reconciliation platform, resolving issues and providing real-time feedback to accounting staff.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet packages, highlighting key changes, providing robust commentary, and presenting findings to key members of the finance team.
  • Assist in the analysis and reconciliation of intercompany balances, collaborating with stakeholders to develop and document procedures for settling inter-company balances.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and reporting trees in the company's ERP system, ensuring data integrity and reconciling data between systems.
  • Partner with the External Reporting team to guarantee timely delivery of key schedules supporting the company's monthly cash flow statement and quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements.
  • Update and maintain the department's internal control narratives, partnering with key stakeholders from Internal Audit.
  • Collaborate with the company's external auditors, coordinating the distribution of their client request list and addressing matters related to the audit.
  • Assist with other projects, including acquisitions, key strategic projects, and systems integration, with knowledge of non-controlling interest accounting, share-based compensation accounting, legal entity accounting, and other complex corporate accounting and consolidation topics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with CPA strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Peoplesoft or similar ERP, advanced Excel user, and Blackline.
  • Oracle SmartView or Hyperion (not required, but preferred).
  • Proven track record of driving process efficiencies and solving problems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work independently.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, persistent in pursuing answers, and creative with solutions.
  • Ability to independently assess situations and make key decisions.
