The role of the Advisory Services Consultant is integral to the Optum Advisory - Enterprise Delivery Services consulting practice. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify challenges, set objectives, formulate recommendations, and implement solutions for clients.
  • Execute project management tasks, including the creation of status reports, work plans, and presentations for client leadership.
  • Track and document project milestones and outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement project risk and issue management strategies.
  • Drive results without direct authority, engaging team members in a cross-functional setting.
  • Conduct research studies that may involve collecting, analyzing, trending, and presenting data and recommendations to management.
  • Define, develop, and document business requirements to ensure client needs are met.
  • Work closely with Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts, Architects, Business Partners, and other Technology teams to ensure a complete understanding of requirements and design.
  • Assist in quality assurance and user acceptance testing by writing test scripts, executing test cases, and documenting defects.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Provide clear communications (both oral and written) and share knowledge at all organizational levels.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in healthcare IT.
  • 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Project/Program Management, Product Management, Process Improvement, Business Analysis, or Data Analytics.
  • 1+ years of experience in creating project deliverables and managing complex work-streams in a client-facing capacity.
  • 1+ years of experience in an Agile environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile/Scrum certification.
  • Experience in a professional consulting organization or in a healthcare leadership role.
  • Familiarity with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience in digital health or consumer digital products/services.
  • Experience in a large matrixed environment.
  • Aptitude for working in a highly technical, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is competitive and based on various factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
