The Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty radiologist to join its expanding Emergency Radiology section. The successful candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible radiologist with a strong interest in emergency and acute care imaging. The ideal candidate will have fellowship training in Emergency Radiology or a related field, although strong candidates with fellowship training in other areas will be considered. The radiologist will be responsible for providing clinical coverage of the academic Emergency Department at the University of Maryland Medical Center-Downtown Campus, as well as emergency studies originating in the Department of Radiology's Community Radiology enterprise. The candidate will also be expected to participate in resident and fellow supervision, as well as didactic lectures for the Radiology residency. The work schedule will prioritize sustainability and a favorable work-life balance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical coverage of the academic Emergency Department at the University of Maryland Medical Center-Downtown Campus
  • Participate in resident and fellow supervision
  • Didactic lectures for the Radiology residency
  • Collaborate with Emergency Medicine Departments and Trauma Surgery and Acute Care Surgery at the UMMC-Downtown Campus

Requirements:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible radiologist
  • Fellowship training in Emergency Radiology or a related field (strong candidates with fellowship training in other areas will be considered)
  • Strong interest in emergency and acute care imaging
