Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Consultant, you will be a vital member of the Guidehouse team, contributing to various stages of the consulting process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the daily management of consulting projects and maintaining regular communication with clients.
  • Analyzing scientific, clinical, financial, and strategic data to understand the business implications of emerging technologies and trends.
  • Conducting primary research interviews with healthcare professionals, thought leaders, and industry executives.
  • Guiding and mentoring junior team members.
  • Preparing and delivering comprehensive reports to senior management and clients.

Travel requirements will vary by project, averaging around 20%.

The Life Sciences practice emphasizes career advancement and long-term hiring strategies. Senior Consultants follow a well-defined career trajectory, continually enhancing their expertise in healthcare and consulting practices. As you refine your project management abilities and learn to juggle multiple work streams, you will progress to the role of Managing Consultant.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of consulting experience in Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Specialty Pharma, and/or Medical Technology) is essential.
  • At least 1 year of experience in commercialization and product launch; experience in oncology launches is preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously with oversight from management, managing project components and mentoring others.
  • Strong analytical skills (Excel, Access, etc.) to leverage data for informed decision-making.
  • Proficient in data collection, research, and critical thinking to explore innovative solutions.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations across the US, up to 20% of the time.
  • Authorization to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
  • As part of the interview process, candidates will complete two industry-specific case studies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree/PhD is preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing client-ready deliverables.
  • Ability to understand and communicate the clinical and business implications of complex products and services.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high-quality deliverables with minimal revisions.
  • A collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach.
