Position: Teacher for Kindergarten and First Grade

Core Responsibilities:

Deliver an engaging educational program tailored for young learners.

Accountable to:

The site administrator.

Supervision:

Oversee the activities of aides, teaching assistants, and other support staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:


Instruct students in various subjects including reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, health, art, music, foreign languages, and physical education, employing suitable educational activities.


Guide students in understanding citizenship, fundamental communication skills, and other essential components of the curriculum as mandated by state regulations and school district policies.

Foster diverse learning experiences to inspire and engage students.

Provide personalized and small group instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.


Establish and uphold standards of student behavior in collaboration with school staff to create a conducive learning environment.


Assess students' academic and social development, maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and communicate with parents regarding individual student progress.

Identify student needs and collaborate with support personnel to address health, behavioral, and learning challenges.

Create a stimulating learning environment through displays, bulletin boards, and interest centers, with input from students.

Maintain professional growth through district-provided inservice training and/or self-directed professional development programs.


Work with evaluators to collaboratively establish the criteria for performance evaluation in accordance with district guidelines.

Conduct basic attendance tracking.

Select and order books, instructional materials, and supplies.

Ensure a comfortable classroom environment by managing heating, lighting, and ventilation as feasible.

Supervise students during out-of-classroom activities throughout the school day.

Administer group standardized assessments as part of the district's testing protocol. Participate in curriculum development and other educational initiatives at the school or district level.

Minimum Qualifications:

Possess the necessary teaching, administrative, or specialized credentials as mandated by the State of California.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Valid Multiple Subject Teaching Credential required.
CLAD or EL Authorization.

Resume and Letter of Introduction required.

Additional Information:

Note: This position requires on-site presence.
A signing bonus of $5,000 is available for successful candidates who:

Hold a Preliminary or Clear Multiple Subject Credential.

OR
Possess a Preliminary or Clear Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Authorization.

This bonus will be distributed in two installments of $2,500 during the school year.
