Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support a TK-6 District in Salinas, CA. As a contract SLP, you will work with Transitional Kindergarten to 6th grade students, providing assessment, therapy, and consultation services to support students with speech and language needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Therapy: Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs, and provide individual and/or group therapy sessions to support students with identified speech and language disorders.
  • Case Management: Develop individualized education plans, present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations, and maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns, and provide reports of a student's progress to parents.
  • Organizational and Administrative Tasks: Organize student caseload, develop a schedule for each assigned school, and develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
Requirements
  • California SLP License: Possess a California SLP license, issued by the California Board of Speech and Hearing.
  • Experience and Skills: Minimum 1+ years of experience in speech therapy, with excellent communication, solid organization, and up-to-date knowledge of California Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings.
