About the Role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead and/or manage municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This position will be based out of our Fort Myers office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serves as lead engineer and/or project manager on municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including water pipelines, sewage collection systems, pump stations, storage tanks, water treatment systems, and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Leads the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and other project documents.
  • Prepares project work plan, scope, schedule, and budget, and communicates these to project team members; monitors/manages project production for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Identifies new business opportunities for AECOM, coordinates and participates in project presentations to clients and other external groups, and promotes AECOM's capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clients.
  • Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors and drafts complex professional service agreements and addenda for review by senior management.
  • Supervises technical professionals, associate project managers, and design staff, including workload and staffing management.
Requirements
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
    • Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months of hire.
  • Preferred Requirements:
    • Experience working on municipal projects.
    • 3+ years of Project Management Experience.
    • Experience and familiarity with the following programs: ArcGIS, AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation, SWMM, and/or Storm/Sewer/WaterCAD.
    • Experience working with local clients in Florida.
