Job Summary:

As a Registered Professional Engineer - Civil - Development, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management and engineering of residential, commercial, and institutional projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in project management, including client coordination, contract negotiation, and project scheduling.
  • Supervise CAD designers and project coordination with other departments, professions, and agencies.
  • Oversee permit technicians and administration in completing permit applications and moving the permit application process forward.
  • Conduct construction observations, prepare field observation reports, and witness critical tasks during construction.
  • Coordinate and communicate with construction managers, contractors, owners, construction inspectors, and permitting agencies.
  • Prepare technical reports, letters, project summaries, and emails.
  • Plan drafting experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
Qualifications:

Civil Engineer with 10 years of local experience in civil engineering development projects with a Florida P.E. for five years. Strong written and verbal skills are required. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook are preferred. The position requires contact with clients and regulatory agencies. A valid Florida driver's license is required as driving is an essential part of the position.
