About the Role

As a Mammography Radiologic Technologist at UNC Health, you will play a vital role in improving the health and well-being of our diverse patient population. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine mammography-related diagnostic and screening procedures, ensuring a safe and appropriate procedure environment.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Provide patient assessments and offer instruction in self-breast examination, adapting procedures to meet individual patient needs.
  • Evaluate patient understanding and consent, ensuring accurate and relevant information is obtained.
  • Correlate patient demographic information with radiographic orders and images, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible, with a commitment to maintaining registry status and continuing education requirements.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
