About the Role:
Mayo Clinic is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Hematology/Oncology team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with cancer, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient responses.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, identifying potential complications and developing strategies to prevent or manage them.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged in the care process.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the applicable state.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting, or one year of current LPN experience at Mayo Clinic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
