CNC Maintenance Technician Job Description

At GFMCO, LLC, we are looking for a skilled CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and control systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular inspections and perform necessary repairs on CNC machines to prevent mechanical, electrical, or technical issues.
  • Analyze equipment malfunctions and apply effective solutions to minimize downtime using manual and diagnostic tools.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize machine efficiency through preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Accurately record maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used, utilizing our maintenance tracking system.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems as needed.
  • Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new CNC equipment and machinery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to suggest improvements and enhancements to our CNC equipment maintenance processes.

Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of experience as a CNC Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing CNC machinery, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • A strong understanding of CNC programming and operation.
  • Solid knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve urgent issues.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to keep accurate maintenance records.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with different teams and departments.
  • Comfortable working in various conditions, including standing, bending, and working in confined spaces.

Salary and Benefits

This is a salaried position with an estimated annual salary of $62,000 - $80,000 based on industry standards and the level of expertise required for this role.
